I love getting my nails done - it’s super relaxing! But, with my busy schedule, it’s really hard to make time to go to the spa (…considering, I’m still trying to find the time to go to the gym!)
So to get a great manicure and pedicure at home in minutes, you’re going to want to follow these two easy steps:
STEP ONE: Exfoliate and Moisturize
If you’re not too sure what exfoliating does, it removes dead skin cells that lye on the surface of your skin, and if not removed, it will leave your skin dry, rough and dull looking - so it’s super important to exfoliate before any manicure and pedicure.
Moisturizing the skin afterwards with a good lotion is a great way to lock in moisture, leaving your skin silky smooth.
I just tried OPI Manicure Pedicure Cucumber Scrub and Massage, and I absolutely fell in love! Not only did the scrub and massage leave my skin feeling like butter, it smelt amazing! With natural sugar crystals, antioxidant pineapple and soothing cucumber extract, I really felt like I brought the spa to my bathtub! And it honestly feels amazing! aaaaahhhh…
STEP TWO: Nail Polish
Before I begin any nail polish application, I always use a good base coat. My new favourite base coat on the market right now is OPI Start to Finish, it’s a base coat, top coat and nail strengthener all in one. And now it comes in a Formaldehyde-Free formula that is great for sensitive nails - like mine!! Yiippee!
Next, I apply my nail polish. I very rarely apply the same colour to both my hands and feet. I like to use darker colours (like OPI: Lunch at the Delhi) on my toes
and very light, pretty colours (like: OPI: Get Me To The Taj On Time) on my hands.
And that’s it! A spa manicure and pedicure from the comfort of your home in just minutes!
And, Ladies, don’t forget to wake.up & make.up!
