Backstage at the 20th Annual Contessa Awards

A few weeks ago on Sunday November 2nd, I had the opportunity to go backstage at the 20th Annual Contessa Awards. Over 1,200 of the country’s professional beauty elite gathered at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto - where 133 finalists from a variety of categories (hair, makeup, nails, salon interior design) competed to win one of the 23 Contessa Awards.

Sabrina Ferri - Fantasy by Pinnacle

Melanie Whitmore - Smashbox Primer

Marjorie Clarke - Redken, Guts - Great for volume and for soft defined curls

Tony Ricci - L’oreal, Sprax - A spray wax that creates texture, shine and control

Davide Fattor - Glistening Gel by La Biosthetique
