A few weeks ago on Sunday November 2nd, I had the opportunity to go backstage at the 20th Annual Contessa Awards. Over 1,200 of the country’s professional beauty elite gathered at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto – where 133 finalists from a variety of categories (hair, makeup, nails, salon interior design) competed to win one of the 23 Contessa Awards.
Take a look at just some of the highlights from this amazing night:
And, of course I couldn’t leave without asking some of the finalists what their favourite makeup and hair products were on the market.
Sabrina Ferri – Fantasy by Pinnacle
Giancarlo Intini – Concealer, Flawless Finish by Elizabeth Arden and/or Lancome
Melanie Whitmore – Smashbox Primer
Marjorie Clarke – Redken, Guts - Great for volume and for soft defined curls
Tony Ricci – L’oreal, Sprax – A spray wax that creates texture, shine and control
Davide Fattor – Glistening Gel by La Biosthetique
I want to say a special thanks to:
Sabrina Ferri, Giancarlo Intini, Melanie Whitmore, Julie Coulombe-Duke, Marjorie Clarke, Tony Ricci, Davide Fattor and everyone at Langton Communications Inc.
And congratulations to all the finalists and winners of this years 20th Annual Contessa Awards!
