Water for your lips?
March 11, 08
The other day I tried a fabulous lip product that I had to share with all of you! It’s Aquafina’s Hydrating Lip Oil. At first I thought what is a water company doing coming out with cosmetic products? Well now I know why. The lip oil literally looked like water on my lips! It had all the shine of any other lip gloss – without all the sticky mess! I thought it was great! Now I don’t know if it actually did any super hydrating – per se – but it looked and felt great! Do you want to hear the best part? It was only one dollar!!!

Best Make.up at the Oscars
February 25, 08

I thought everyone looked beautiful at this years 2008 Oscar’s – but of course a few stood out more than others. I saw a lot of red lipstick, and Smokey eye’s with nude lips – which you all know I love! – And I also saw no make.up at all from Tilda Swinton. Do you think she ran out of time? I wonder what happened there? She could have at least put on some mascara….anyways…Here is are my top two favourite looks from the evening:
1. Jennifer Garner – Her nude lip was paired perfectly with her dark black eyeliner!
2. Katherine Heigl - The perfect red lips – worn with confidence and class!
Who did you think looked the best? I would love to hear from you with your top favourite make.up looks from this years 2008 Oscar’s.

Q: Hi, Sandy. I am your big fan. I have a question about make.up remover. How do you take off heavy coats of mascara and smokey eye make.up without irritating your eyes?…I find my eye’s get really red when I use an oil-based make.up remover…Do you have any tricks when taking of mascara? Thank you! (From – Citrus)
A: Dear: In need of removal, You are not alone! I get all kinds of questions asking me to recommend the best way to remove eye make.up. So here are some of my tips and tricks:
-
To avoid irritating your eye’s try using an oil-free make.up remover. I use Rimmel London – Gentle Eye Make Up Remover - which is so fantastic – it even removes waterproof mascara! And the best part is that it’s under $10!! and, as you know, I LOVE that!
-
Start by removing the mascara first. Wet a Q-tip with your eye makeup remover and begin to remove just the mascara. Note: If you’re wearing a lot of mascara – this part may require a few Q-tips!
-
Next, remove the rest of your eye make.up. Wet a cosmetic pad and/or cotton ball with eye make.up remover and begin to remove the remaining eye make.up.
-
Last but not least, wash your face and eye’s with a mild non-irritating face wash for an overall clean feeling!
Well, I hope this helped you out! Thank you so much Citrus for your question! And Ladies don’t forget to wake.up & make.up!
