make your own exfoliator at home!

September 7, 08

This morning I made the best homemade organic exfoliator, using only two ingredients and in under two minutes!

Here’s how:

Combine organic honey with organic sugar and mix together.  Apply it in a small circular motion all over your face.  Wash off with warm water.  Pat to dry.

I can’t even tell you how smooth my skin felt afterwards!  I loved it!

Give it a try and let me know how it works for you!  (*if you don’t have organic ingredients on hand – regular honey and sugar work just as well!)

I have not tried this one – but would it not aggrivate the skin? The sugar is quite harsh. i have acne prone skin and always looking out for great tips and home made goddies to pamper my skin rather than treat it – just worried about the courseness of the sugar granules…
    Love your tips tho!

I just tried it, with regular honey and sugar, amazing…skin is really soft and all… Just like Allison I have acne prone skin, but I tried it nonetheless..I am curious however as to what will happen…in a day or two…but for the moment..skin is real smooth!

I tried it and it was great, my skin is so smooth. I gently worked the mixture on my face so the sugar wouldnt rub to hard, I did however have to used my daily face wash to get the mixture competely off. I would tell everyone to try it.

Hi, I just used honey when it was not liquid, like when it was crusty and i put a bit on my face left it on for 2 min and washed off. It worked ! AND i am have acne all over my forehead and several bumps too they looked smooth. Just to let you know, an awesome hair AND skin mask is mashed avocado ripe and plain yougort and a drop of olive oil and honey. Works great!

For those you have concerns about their acne prone skin….the honey is an anti-bacterial and helps heal blemishes. Definitely plan on trying it!!!
