I couldn’t be more excited to see a movie, then this one! This past weekend I had a girls night with my two sisters to go and see Sex and the City!  We had such a great night, and absolutely loved the movie!!!

So I thought I would give you some quick and easy make.up tips on how-to get the looks of your favourite Sex and the City character!  Enjoy! 

MIRANDA

Miranda’s known for her no make.up, make.up look. Which makes total sense because not only is she a hard working business women, she’s also a wife and a mom.

To get miranda’s look follow these three four easy steps.

Step 1 – start by applying a foundation.  To save time in the morning, continue applying your foundation ontop of your eyes to act as an eyebase and below your eye’s to act as concealer.

Step 2 – apply a neutral beige cream eyeshadow all over the eyelid, then apply a brown eyeliner pencil into the lash line, next a gentle coat of black mascara

Step 3 – to add definition to your cheek bones without making it look like your wearing any makeup – get a face powder that’s a few shades darker than your natural skin tone – and apply it right below the apples of your cheeks.

Step 4 – To finish the look of Miranda apply a matte lipstick in beige for the perfect natural look.

CHARLOTTE

When you think of Charlotte, you think of classic timeless beauty.

So to get Charlotte’s flawless glowing skin follow these three easy steps:

Step 1 – apply a light weight tinted moisturizer all over your face. To get added coverage try adding a second layer and pat it into the areas of your face that needs more coverage.

Step 2 – to brighten your look, apply a concealer under your eyes, that’s a shade lighter than your natural skin tone.  This will really make your eye’s pop.

Step 3 – To add a glow to your skin try using an illuminator right under your eye area and on top of your cheek bones to add the perfect amount of radiance without looking over done.

SAMANTHA

Samantha always looks the part, from day to night she’s known for her sex appeal – and part of that is her luscious stand out lips. Whether it’s a neutral gloss or a vivacious red she never fails to wear it with confidence.

So to get Samantha’s gorgeous lips follow these 3 easy steps:

Step 1 – if your going to wear a lipstick with a lot of pigment, especially if it’s red, you want to start by mattifying your lips first with a conceal to help prevent it from bleeding later on.

Step 2 – I’m not a huge fan of the lipliner, but with high pigment lipsticks, it’s super important.  Apply a light amount of lipliner all over the lips, which will set a nice base and will help to keep your lipstick on longer.

Step 3 – Now to get the perfect matte application, apply your lipstick with your fingers and gently pat the lipstick into the lips. Blot the excess away and your good to go!

CARRIE

Last but definitely not least, my favourite character – Carrie. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Carrie’s look is her eye’s. She always rocks some form of a sexy smokey eye going on, and it just looks great!

Carrie tends to use shades like brown, gold and black.

So to get Carrie’s sexy smokey eye, follow these 5 easy steps:

Step 1 – Start with a cream gold eyeshadow all over the eye lid.

Step 2 – Next, apply a brown shimmer based eyeshadow in the crease of the eyelid.

Step 3 – To get the smokey look – apply black eyeshadow to the outer corner of your eyelid (I like to use my fingers because it helps to prevent eyeshadow from falling onto my cheek.)

Step 4 – Now for eyeliner – apply a black eyeliner pencil in between your lashes on the top and the bottom. Next take a small angle brush, tap it into the black eyeshadow and draw a thick eyeline at the top of your eyelid staying close to the lashline. To make your eye’s look bigger I like to extend the eyeliner just past the natural eyeline, drawing upwards – this will help to lift the eye area.

Step 5 – To complete the look apply a nice thick coat of Volumizing black mascara – and your all set!
