Question: Can you please help me find a great mascara that will make my lashes look longer and fuller? (Kristina from Toronto)
Answer: Dear Lashes,
I believe that no look is ever complete without mascara. I always remember my mom telling me and my two sisters that no matter what, she never leaves the house without her mascara on! And today, I so agree!
There are a lot of great products on the market, and no matter how hard I look there is never going to be one magic mascara that is great for everyone. Because every woman has their own different needs and eye lashes.
Some women naturally have beautiful long full lashes, and can get away with using almost no mascara. But for the rest of us, not blessed with gorgeous lashes, here are some tips for finding the right mascara for you! Because every women needs a great mascara!
If you are looking for fuller, longer lashes, you are going to want to look for a mascara wand that has a big full brush. The bigger the better! Also, use a black mascara if you want them to be the most noticeable. Using black will really help to make your eye’s stand out!
If you are not looking for fuller lashes, but still want them to look defined, look for a smaller, not-so-full brush, that won’t clump.
Finding a great mascara is a lot about trial and error. You might have to buy 5 different mascara’s before you find the right one. But when you do find the right one for you, you’ll know it, and it will change your whole look!
My favourite mascara on the market is Yves Saint Laurent, Faux Cils in black. I love this product because it really helps to make my lashes look fuller and longer. The only thing is, the mascara costs $35. So, for those of you who would rather spend that $35 on groceries, I went looking for a great mascara for less. For a lower priced mascara that has a reasonably large brush and good product try L’oreal Voluminous mascara in dark black.
I hope this helps you out and thanks for your question.
And remember girls to always have fun while doing it…and like I always say, don’t forget to wake up and make.up!

Hey Sandy:
I love all of your make-up tips, especially the ten minutes flawless. My face is very oily, especially during the summer. I love to wear foundation but the hot weather make my face melts and start to break out. So do you have any suggestions to control the oily face and keep my face looks fresh. One more question, last time i watched the tyra bank’s show and she said to use milk of magnesia on the face to help the make up from melting during the summer hot weather. So what do you think?
Thanks Sandy ;)

Hi Sandy!!! I accidentally stumbled upon your videos on Youtube and I think youre really awesome sharing all your makeup tips. N what I like most about your make up styles is that you try to keep it as natural as possible, and I just love that, for instance I dont like bright red lipsticks as well. But just a query about these mascara, Im Indian and so my lashes are generally ‘not too bad’, but however Ive noticed that with regular use of mascara, mylashes have kinda reduced – in length, and volume? N i read somewhere that waterproof mascaras spoil your lashes. Is this true? N if it is, could you help suggest a good water-based mascara? Thx Sandy!!
hey sandy, i love ur videos and u r just cool. i have lot of hairs on my face and so how can i get rid of them. is there any kind of makeup that i can apply to make them less prominent or is there any other option other than laser.
Thanks..
