Shoppers can choose their favourite Kiehl’s products and the proceeds from the day’s sales will be donated to Camp Oochigeas, an extraordinary organization that gives children with cancer the opportunity to rediscover the magic of childhood through camp.

Much more than a summer camp, Camp Oochigeas offers year-round programs for children affected by childhood cancer at their camp site in Muskoka, at the Hospital for Sick Children and in the community. There is nothing I love more then spending a day at the Spa! And, what’s a better gift idea then to give someone a Spa gift certificate! Recently I headed over to Concepts Day Spa Salon at 20 Bloor Street East in Yorkville (Toronto) to get some amazing spa services – here’s what I got:
A couples massage is such a great gift idea to give to someone who just recently got engaged and/or as a gift that you and your partner can enjoy together.
This was my first time getting a couples massage – so I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t know if you should talk to your partner while getting the massage – should we hold hands? I had no idea. None the less, after about 4.5 minutes, my fiance was in full REM sleep – snoring! So, overall it was really romantic! lol!
No, but honestly – the massages with Nancy and Don were fantastic and extremely relaxing. My favourite part was the hot towel they put on you at the end! Aaahhhhhhhhh! I feel relaxed again, just thinking about it!
I absolutely love getting my nails done! My Esthetician at Concepts Day Spa Salon – Katie Laplante – was amazing – I highly recommend her – she gave me one of the best mani-pedi’s I have ever had! Not to mention she was super nice and extremely helpful!
Here are some tips I learned from Katie: ”Soft Square Tip” is still in style for the nails – And, to keep your cuticles nice and hydrated – take one Vitamin E tablet (that you can get at almost any drugstore), poke a hole in it and apply the Vitamin E to your cuticles. Gently rub it into the area – and voila healthy cuticles in minutes! Love it!

My new favourite perfume this season is – Gucci by Gucci. I’m still not sure which I love more – the bottle or the scent! lol.
The notes in this fragrance includes guava, pear, raspberry, chamomile, Tahitian Tiare flower, orange blossom, spider lily, patchouli, honey and musk. It almost smells like a men’s cologne at first – but settles to a stunning fragrance – that I just love!

Are you suffering from dry hands & feet?

Do you suffer from really dry hands and feet? Well, I know how you feel! Every year during the cold Winter months my poor hands get really really dry – especially since I’m a makeup artist, and I’m constantly washing them all the time!
So, here’s a little tip to keep your hands soft and smooth!
Before bed, apply Vaseline or a really good hand cream (like the Ultimate Strength Hand Salve from Kiehl’s) to both your feet and hands (concentrating on the areas that tend to be more dry, like your heels, wrists and knuckles).
Then, once you’ve finished lathering on the lotion – cover your hands in a thin pair of gloves and your feet in a pair of socks. (I really love the Moisturizing Gel Gloves and the Soothing Socklets from True Blue Spa at Bath and Body Works – they work great!)
Then go to bed with them covered all night long – and in the morning you’ll awake to them feeling soft and smooth! Yiiipppeee!

Soft Hands in the Winter!

It never fails, that when the cold weather arrives, my hands are the first thing to get really really dry.
So, it’s super important to use a good hand cream all throughout the day and especially at night.
I recently started using the Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve at night before bed, and it works amazing!
Its not greasy, absorbs super quick and in the morning, my hands feel like butter!
The formulation is made up of a blend of botanical oils like: Avocado, Eucalyptus, Sesame Seed and natural wax derived from Olive Oil to soothe, moisturize and condition the skin. And, when applied, it actually forms a “glove-like” protective barrier to help prevent moisture loss.
This is a Definite Winter Must Have!
