Sandy: For those who don’t know, what is Simply Ageless Foundation?

Dr. Vickery: Most makeup, even expensive department store makeup, can settle into fine lines and wrinkles and make you look older. But CoverGirl and Olay Simply Ageless foundation instantly makes you look younger because it evens skin without settling into fine lines. This is because Simply Ageless has a breakthrough suspension formula, containing an Olay Regenerist serum, which acts as a textural and color equalizer. It’s lightweight and liquid enough to flow over the skin, yet firm enough to remain suspended over fine lines and wrinkles.

Sandy: Tell me about the collaboration with CoverGirl and Olay? Why Olay?

Dr. Vickery: CoverGirl’s makeup expertise combined with Olay’s skin care expertise makes for an exciting collaboration. Sandy: How does it work to stay suspended over fine lines?

Dr. Vickery: The key is the product form. We designed Simply Ageless to deliver on even tone and texture through a unique set of transformations that allow the formula to go from cream to liquid and back to cream again. The Simply Ageless formula contains a combination of waxes specially chosen because they melt at skin temperature when friction is applied. So, upon application to the skin, the formula melts to a liquid that allows the product to glide across skin without dragging. Unlike other liquid makeups, however, the waxes provide support by creating an invisible suspension system that holds the pigments above texture in a fine mesh as the formula transitions back into a cream. The result is an ultra-fine layer of coverage that beautifully evens skin, without settling into fine lines and wrinkles.

Sandy: How does it improve the skin condition over time?

Dr. Vickery: When you see Simply Ageless, you’ll notice a beautiful white swirl in the product. This is the Olay Regenerist serum, which has a combination of vitamins, skin conditioners and anti-oxidants that help improve skin texture. Niacinamide used in the serum has been clinically shown to improve the skin’s condition by strengthening the moisture barrier and helping promote collagen generation, and anti-oxidants help protect the skin from free radicals. The foundation also has SPF 22.
