Review: Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths

April 4, 11

Hi all my happi girls!

This week I’ve teamed up with OLAY to be one of the ‘faces’ of their Best Face Forward 5-day Cleanser Challenge – and I couldn’t be more excited!

We all know that makeup only looks as good as the skin it’s covering – and a beautiful complexion starts with a clean, clear, smooth base that is well hydrated and exfoliated! And recently, Olay and Carrie Underwood – Olay’s first ever North American Celebrity Ambassador – have introduced a completely redesigned line of facial cleansing products to help address different skin types and concerns such as blemish control, pore minimization, and cleansing options for sensitive, dry and oily/combination skin types.

So, for the past few weeks I got a chance to test a variety of products from the newly re-designed Olay Facial Cleansing Line-up – and this week I will be sharing my thoughts with you – so stay tuned for my reviews as well as all kinds of fun tips and tricks!  And, because my mom (Sarina Gold) is a HUGE OLAY fan as well – I decided to get her involved too – to bring you a different perspective on the cleansers for women 50+.  So look out for my mom’s reviews – How fun!

The redesigned OLAY Facial Cleansing line includes the following:  OLAY 2-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths, Acne Control Face Wash, Blackhead Clearing Scrub, Foaming Face Wash, Oil Minimizing Toner, Pore Minimizing Cleanser & Scrub, Shine Control Lathering Cleanser, Skin Smoothing Cream Scrub and Wet Cleansing Cloths.

Today, we’ll be reviewing the OLAY Wet Cleansing Cloths.

  • Pre-moistened cleansing cloths are definitely the easiest way to remove your makeup at night – especially when you’re tired – You just wipe and good-night! Awesome!
  • One cloth is all you need to remove your daily makeup (including waterproof mascara and liquid liner).  However, on the days when I was on set and I had on my “tv makeup” – I had to use two (or even three!) cloths to fully remove all the layers of foundation ;)
  • The Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths for Sensitive skin – are really gentle and leave your skin feeling fresh and clean – without the use of any fragrance.
  • FYI – I was looking for my Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths the other day – only to find them in my husband’s gym bag!  LOL ;)  He loves them so much that he now uses them everyday!  He told me that his skin has never felt cleaner and that he loves how he can see the dirt come right off on the cloth.  He also said they were so refreshing – how cute is he! ;)
  • Sandy’s Quick Tip #1: If you like to wash your face with cool water– try leaving these cleansing cloths in the fridge over night – they feel sooooo refreshing in the morning!
  • Sandy’s Quick Tip #2: If you’re a false lash user – and you like to re-use your falsies, try cleaning them in between uses with these pre-moistened cleansing cloth.  They remove all the product on the lashes (like eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara), without leaving behind any oil residue.
  • Sandy’s Quick Tip #3: After applying self-tanner use a cleansing cloth to remove the product from the palms of your hands, nails and cuticles – while leaving the rest of your self tanner perfectly in tact!  Yiiippeee :)

PRODUCT REVIEW: OLAY WET CLEANSING CLOTHS (for: Sensitive Skin)

  • So I got up this morning excited to try the new Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths :)  I have to confess that even after all the dermatologist recommendations, I have been using a bar of soap and water to wash my face all my life.  Old habits die hard they say and I’m proof of that!  So, a cleansing cloth was definitely a new thing for me.  Well welcome to 2011, I love the ease and convenience of these cleansing cloths!
  • The cleansing cloth gently and effectively removed all my eye makeup including my usually stubborn mascara and left my face feeling refreshed :)  Wow what a time saver!
  • One thing I did miss was the fragrance – as these particular wipes were for sensitive skin and were fragrance-free, so next time I would get the ones for ‘normal’ skin instead.

Are you a fan of Olay – comment below – we would love to hear from you!
